As a Machine Vision Engineer (f/m/d) at vGreens, you will play a pivotal role within our Data Team, focusing on developing and implementing advanced image recognition software to analyze and predict plant quality metrics. Your work will directly contribute to optimizing our agricultural processes through precise and innovative technology solutions. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, integrating software with hardware, and setting up essential data interfaces to enhance overall system performance.
Your Responsibilities:
- Image Processing and Analysis: Perform advanced analytical tasks in image processing, leveraging machine vision to assess plant quality.
- Algorithm Development: Program data preparation tools and develop or refine algorithms for industrial-grade image processing and recognition.
- Hardware Integration: Support hardware-specific setup and configuration to ensure seamless data capture and processing.
- Interface and Data Connectivity: Collaborate on creating and maintaining data interfaces to integrate machine vision outputs with the broader system.
Your Profile:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience in image recognition and optimization of image processing algorithms.
- Minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in machine vision or deep learning applications.
- Strong programming skills in languages commonly used for image processing and data integration (e.g., Python, C++, MATLAB).
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to approach complex challenges analytically, with a focus on innovative solutions.
- Interpersonal Skills: Flexible, solution-oriented team player with a proactive mindset and excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English (written and spoken); German skills are advantageous.
- Travel Willingness: Willingness to travel as needed for project-based tasks or system installations.Â
