vGreens on the Tagesschau Podcast “Mal angenommen”

Our Marketing Manager Lina Steinbrink was a guest on the German podcast “Mal angenommen”, produced by ARD Tagesschau, Germany’s leading news outlet.

The episode explored a scenario with potentially devastating implications: the collapse of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC). Experts warn that the AMOC could collapse as early as 2050. The consequences would be catastrophic—Arctic winters across Europe, drastically shorter growing seasons, and severe food shortages. Winter temperatures in parts of Northern Europe, such as Norway, could plummet by up to 40°C.

In this context, Lina highlighted how our Vertical Farming technology could play a crucial role in building a more resilient food system that can withstand the challenges posed by climate change and ensure food security in a changing world.
