“Who Can Afford This?” – vGreens’ technology featured in ARD Docuseries

The renowned WDR business series “Who Can Afford This?” (OT: “Wer kann das bezahlen?”), hosted by Anna Planken, explores the rising cost of living in Germany. In the latest episode, we had the honor to present our data-driven farming approach to demonstrate how sustainable technologies can be both viable and economically feasible.

Our Co-CEOs Maximilian and Claas gave the team exclusive insights into our industrial module, the underlying technology and its economic impact. But our conversation with Anna went far beyond that: we showcased how our high-tech solution enables fresh strawberries to grow year-round—live during winter. This way we could give a tangible example of how innovation can drive both sustainability and economic viability, proving that future-oriented technologies are not only possible but also essential for sustainable food production.

The full episode is now available on ARD Mediathek (German only).
